About the award
The systems that keep work moving.
Cyle Patnode is the recipient of Engine Builder. The award title uses the idea of an engine as a way to think about connected systems.
An engine brings different parts together so that work can continue. Applied to a business or search operation, the metaphor points to the processes and foundations that support repeatable work. This explanation describes the title’s theme, rather than an unrecorded product, technical build, or judging criterion.
